Real Wedding Enchanted Forest Fairy Tale
A Romantic Destination Wedding in the Heart of Syracuse, Sicily
Vlad and Bridget’s love story unfolded in one of Italy’s most enchanting cities—Syracuse, a historical jewel on the island of Sicily. Their engagement took place in front of the majestic Cathedral-Duomo, nestled in the heart of Ortigia, Syracuse’s stunning old town. It was here, among centuries-old stone and golden sunsets, that Vlad asked Bridget to marry him. Naturally, the couple chose this magical setting to host their wedding in Ortigia Siracusa Sicily.
Planning their international destination wedding over the course of a year was an exciting journey. With guests flying in from New York, Russia, Ukraine, Colombia, and across Asia, the event brought together a vibrant mix of cultures and traditions. For many, it was their first visit to Sicily—an experience that left them enchanted by the island’s charm, history, and hospitality.
Ortigia’s historic center offered the perfect backdrop for both the engagement and wedding celebrations. With its scenic seaside views, winding cobbled streets, baroque architecture, and romantic corners, every detail was picture-perfect. Nearby, peaceful vineyards, countryside villas, and medieval castel settings offered endless options for unique wedding experiences.
Bridget and Vlad’s wedding theme was inspired by their love story in Syracuse, blending natural elegance with a mystical, enchnting forest garden atmosphere. The ceremony and reception took place in a medieval castel with an ancient garden, which also happens to be a historic winery known for its exceptional Moscato wine.
The bride wore a luxurious wedding gown and sparkling diamond rings, while the groom and his groomsmen looked impeccable in tailored tuxedos and classic Louboutin shoes. The wedding was a beautiful fusion of color, tradition, and nature—vibrant, joyful, and deeply heartfelt.
Guests enjoyed a sunset aperitif in the castel’s ancient garden, followed by dinner in the stone courtyard under the stars. The music was a lively mix of Italian pop and Latin hits, featuring a special performance by a Venezuelan singer. The evening concluded with a magical cake cutting ceremony beneath a centuries-old tree.
For those dreaming of saying “I do” in one of the most beautiful corners of Italy, this wedding in Ortigia Siracusa Sicily, guided by a professional weddign planner, offers a glimpse into a real-life fairytale.
